  • Joan Roughgarden

    Joan Roughgarden is an American ecologist and evolutionary biologist. She has engaged in theory and observation of coevolution and competition in Anolis lizards of the Caribbean, and recruitment limitation in the rocky intertidal zones of California and Oregon.

  • Lauren Esposito

    Lauren Esposito is the assistant curator and Schlinger chair of Arachnology at the California Academy of Sciences. She is the co-founder of the network 500 Queer Scientists.

  • Jessica Ware

    Jessica Ware is an Associate Curator and the current Division Chair in the Division of Invertebrate Zoology at the American Museum of Natural History. Dr. Ware’s research focuses on the evolution of behavioral and physiological adaptations in insects, with an emphasis on how these occur in Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies) and Dictyoptera (termites, cockroaches and mantises).

  • André K. Isaacs

    Dr. Isaacs is a professor of chemistry researching organic and synthetic chemistry at the College of the Holy Cross. He is also a queer science communicator mainly using TikTok and Twitter, where he posts dancing and choreography videos to teach chemistry lessons.

  • Edith Perez

    Edith A. Perez, is a cancer specialist and an internationally known translational researcher. Dr. Perez’ areas of focus include developing a wide range of clinical trials exploring targeted therapeutic agents for the treatment and prevention of breast cancer.

  • Morgan Johnston

    Morgan Johnston is a Neuroscience Scholars Program Associate (2022-2024) through the Society for Neuroscience. She is a graduate student at the University of Texas, San Antonia who studies impact of stress on learning.

  • Jack Andraka

    When he was 15, Jack Andraka developed an early detection test for pancreatic, ovarian and lung cancers. He won the top prize in the 2012 Intel Science Fair for his invention, which costs only three cents and works in five minutes, and has since been recognized around the world for his accomplishment.

  • Oliver Sacks

    Oliver Sacks was a British neurologist and writer who won acclaim for his sympathetic case histories of patients with unusual neurological disorders.
