Lena joined us for summer research from May-August 2024, as our first ever undergraduate student! Lena helped us establish our culturomics pipelines which involve isolating and curating microbial communities from skin. Not only that, Lena was the first person to pour bacterial plates in our lab and autoclave media! Lena is pursing an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and Microbiology at Missouri State University and goes back from our lab to start her sophomore year.
