Kayla is originally from Springfield, IL. She is an M.D. candidate at St. Louis University with a B.S. in neuroscience. Her research background is in sociology, and is excited to explore the intersectionality of many scientific disciplines. Kayla’s hobbies include crafting, reading, and trying new restaurants around St. Louis. In our lab Kayla studies how microbes interact with xenobiotic compounds.
